Arlington Police Blotter 12/22 – 01/04/2010

January 4
8:57 a.m. Theft: An iPod was stolen out of a vehicle in the 3800 block of 176th Place NE.
1:46 p.m. Theft: A GPS was stolen out of vehicle in the 17500 block of 38th Drive NE.

December 31
1:03 a.m. Traffic Violation: A male was arrested at the intersection of 212th Street NE and Pioneer Highway for making false statements to an officer and for driving while license was suspended.
8:32 a.m. Traffic Violation: A male was booked into jail from the intersection of 188th Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard for traffic violations.
3:59 p.m. Accident: A driver was cited for following too closely and caused an accident at the intersection of 204th Street NE and 74th Avenue NE. The driver of the other vehicle was cited for driving while license was suspended and no insurance.
8:19 p.m. Warrant: A male was booked into jail from the 20500 block of Olympic Place for an outstanding warrant.
9:43 p.m. Suicide Attempt: Police responded to a suicide attempt in the 100 block of N. McLeod Avenue.

December 30
12:45 p.m. Accident: A car failed to yield the right-of-way and struck a truck at the intersection of 172nd Street NE and 51st Avenue NE.
2:36 p.m. Vandalism: A juvenile female spray painted a bench at the skate park in the 18500 block of 59th Avenue NE. The case is being referred to the juvenile prosecutor.

December 29
12:57 p.m. Theft: Two males stole a fuel transfer pump valued at $500 in the 200 block of S. West Avenue.
2:58 p.m. Theft: A female reported her wallet stolen in the 8400 block of 207th Place NE.
3:38 p.m. Burglary: The back door of a residence in the 20600 block of 61st Avenue NE was possibly left unlocked and several rings were taken from a box that was inside a bedroom.
3:44 p.m. Property: A bicycle was found in a ditch at the intersection of 172nd Street NE and 43rd Avenue NE.

December 28
10:34 a.m. Vandalism: Someone threw a can of oil at a local business in the 17500 block of 59th Avenue NE and cracked one of the building windows.
1:57 p.m. Burglary: Someone broke into a temporary fenced area in the 18800 block of 59th Drive NE and stole a service truck full of merchandise worth $15,820.
11:07 p.m. Theft: A female reported that her passport and social security card were stolen from a hotel room in the 17300 block of Smokey Point Drive.

December 27
12:11 a.m. Disturbance: Police responded to a family disturbance in the 17700 block of 83rd Drive NE. No charges were filed.
12:40 p.m. Theft: License tabs were stolen off a truck in the 2200 block of State Route 530.
2:43 p.m. Suicide Attempt: A woman was involuntarily committed to the hospital for evaluation after attempting to take her life in the 300 block of S. Stillaguamish Avenue with an overdose of prescription medication and beer.

December 26
4:48 p.m. Theft: A male stole beer and cigarettes from a convenience store in the 2300 block of State Route 530 NE.
9:08 p.m. Missing Adult: A report was taken on a missing adult male from the 18900 block of 43rd Drive NE who later returned home.
9:47 p.m. Disturbance: A couple were arguing over drugs and alcohol in the 200 block of E. Highland Drive.
11:45 p.m. Assault: A female reported she was assaulted by her husband in the 5900 block of 206th Street NE.

December 25
1:12 a.m. Trespassing: Arlington officers assisted the sheriff’s office on a trespassing violation in the 3400 block of Stoluckquamish Lane.
11:49 a.m. Accident: A vehicle changing lanes in the 17200 block of Smokey Point Boulevard did not see the car next to her and caused a collision.

December 24
9:18 a.m. Burglary: In the 500 block of E. Third Street, an apartment door was kicked in and someone slept in the victims bed and stole food out of the refrigerator.
10:17 a.m. Theft: A male ran into a local electronic store in the 500 block of N. West Avenue. He grabbed two televisions in boxes and fled the store to a waiting van with driver.
1:01 p.m. Property: A bag containing miscellaneous handtools was found behind a bank in the 16400 block of Smokey Point Boulevard.

December 23
1:51 a.m. Warrant: A male was stopped in the 300 block of E. Burke Avenue for a traffic violation and had a warrant out for his arrest. He was transported to the Marysville jail.
2:48 a.m. Traffic: A female was cited at the intersection of 172nd Street NE and I-5 northbound onramp for driving while license was suspended and no liability insurance.
4:37 a.m. Disturbance: Police responded to a verbal argument at a local hotel in the 17300 block of Smokey Point Boulevard.
8:41 a.m. Theft: Someone broke into a work van in the 7400 block of 204th Street NE and took tools valued at $750.
9:02 a.m. Accident: A fence was struck and damaged by a vehicle in the 4600 block of 189th Street NE. The driver of the car agreed to pay for the costs to repair the fence. No charges were filed.
9:54 a.m. Burglary: A home was broken into and a purse containing several credit cards was stolen in the 18200 block of Woodbine Drive. They used the car keys in the purse to rummage through a van and attempted to take two built-in LCD screens.
1:02 p.m. Accident: A vehicle collided with a vehicle that was stopped in front of him in the 2900 block of 172nd Street NE and then left the scene without exchanging information.
1:38 p.m. Assault: Two elderly men got physical with each other after one accused the other of cutting in front of the line at a local bank in the 500 block of N. Olympic Avenue.
1:57 p.m. Accident: A vehicle struck another vehicle while making a legal U-turn at the intersection of 172nd Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard.
7:20 p.m. Traffic: A male was given a criminal citation in the 17200 block of Smokey Point Boulevard for driving without a valid drivers license.

December 22
12:06 a.m. Traffic: A juvenile female was cited for driving without a license and expired license tabs in the 16800 block of Smokey Point Boulevard.
12:24 a.m. Vandalism: In the 20000 block of 45th Drive NE, someone cut the fabric on an inflated Christmas yard decoration.
12:40 a.m. Vandalism: Three males admitted to slashing multiple inflatable Christmas decorations in the 4600 block of 200th Street NE. All three were given criminal citations.
8:18 a.m. Fraud: Checks were taken from the 18300 block of Smokey Point Boulevard and forged at various locations.
2:48 p.m. Theft: A bicycle was stolen off a second-floor balcony in the 20700 block of Olympic Place.
